I recently scheduled an appointment at Walk In GYN Care because, like many, I don’t have health insurance and needed a place to get my Pap smear. They had a rare Saturday appointment slot available, so I snagged it. I admit, I was a bit skeptical at first because their business hours show they’re only open on Saturdays. But hey, who needs a social life on Saturdays anyway? When I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to find myself the VIP (Very Important Patient) of the waiting room – no crowds, no hassle. The front desk staff greeted me with a smile and helped me with registration. They handed me an iPad to answer a few health questions, which made me feel like I was about to win a game show. A few minutes later, the nurse called me back, asked for a urine sample, and then did my triage and vitals. From there, I was asked to get undressed for my Pap smear. Enter Dr. Gupta, the superhero of gynecology! She was incredibly sweet and knowledgeable. I told her about my PCOS and my future baby plans, and she gave me a list of supplements to take. I also asked about getting an ultrasound, and guess what? They did it right then and there! No need to run around town to an imaging place. Everything was done in-house, which was super convenient since I was on my lunch break. Talk about multitasking! The whole process was smooth and efficient, and the prices were very reasonable. Just a heads up, it’s self-pay only since they don’t accept any insurance at the moment.
