Middle Village, The Mother Ship!

Fifth or the First… this is actually what started me on this journey of changing women’s health for the better!

I started my personal practice journey in 2012 with my Elmhurst Office. It was my first foray on my own after being fully employed by Flushing Hospital. It was a long, hard journey. Learning the basics and ops of starting and running a practice, HR, policies, managing employees, building operational policies and procedures, clinical protocols – all while seeing patients, delivering babies and doing surgeries. It was all in a day’s work and were long, sometimes never-ending days. Doctors are not entrepreneurs and I learnt the reasons then!

It’s hard to be an entrepreneur. The only thing that kept me going was my patience. I had patients who relied on me and I wanted to ensure they got the best care they deserved.

Very quickly, I realized that I alone couldn’t help all those women who needed stellar and compassionate care. One of my patients told me, “Finding a good GYN is like dating. You can’t seem to find someone who truly understands you. I am so glad I finally found you after going through so many terrible experiences.” My heart went out to her.

Seeing late-night calls for UTIs and vaginitis made me realize the need for same-day care for Women’s health conditions. The seed led to a plant and I opened Walk IN GYN Care (also trademarked) in 2014 and the rest is history.

In 2023, I decided to put the Middle Village under the same Walk In GYN umbrella so we could also provide daily access to all those in the Middle Village, Maspeth, Queens and Glendale communities. After all, the standards of care were the same across all our locations!

Today, we cover almost all of NY with our 5 locations plus the surgical center.

I am really grateful to have been able to embark on this journey with you all.
